Our team

Brittany Cotton, DC, CACCP

One of the most important decisions you can make for your family is choosing a doctor and friend who can help guide your health decisions. It’s safe to say that Dr. Brittany is one of the most knowledgeable and influential women in the Roanoke Valley when it comes to having a healthy pregnancy, raising children naturally and guiding parents to align values with health outcomes. She is a mom to 4 beautiful children, Jordan, Emmie, Bo and Crew and our office pup Scout. Her hobbies include baking sourdough, finding the best food & coffee while traveling, hiking, camping, gardening and spending time with her babies. She LOVES a good cup of coffee, honest conversation and tacos.

Joe Cotton, DC

One of Dr. Joe’s favorite sayings is, “You don’t treat people. You treat lawns and pools...You CARE for people.” This phrase epitomizes what you get when you walk through the doors of NLC. You’ll quickly find one of Dr. Joe’s biggest strengths is his want for every child and family to live and love Life to the fullest. Having a mom who was an elementary special education teacher, Dr. Joe has grown up with an appreciation for helping families with children who have neurodevelopmental challenges (check out his Perfect Storm class for these families!). As a dad to 4 amazing kids, he loves spending time with them on their homestead. Whether they are tending to their garden, caring for the family chickens or hunting for wild mushrooms, he enjoys teaching life skills and seeking new experiences. He loves stimulating conversation, sitting around a fire, golfing, hunting and a good IPA! Raised in Minnesota, he has come to absolutely LOVE the Roanoke valley with the beautiful mountains and perfect mix of all four seasons!

“I was born & raised in North Carolina and have now have lived in VA for 5 years with my husband, baby girl Randi-Jo & two dogs- Benny & Maycee. I’m devoted to homesteading & raising my daughter in a more holistic culture. I found chiropractic care through a two year infertility battle and it has changed my life and brought me into a like minded community that I’ll be forever grateful for. In my free time you can find me making everything sourdough, raising crazy chickens, or doing anything outside!”

“I have lived in Salem, VA for 20 years along with my devoted husband, Steve. Together we have 3 wonderful kids - Brooke (30), Troy (25), and Autumn (23). I have been blessed to be able to stay at home and raise my children into well-rounded adults. My favorite things to do outside of work are spending time with my 5 year old granddaughter, Madi, singing in my church's worship band, walking (preferably outside), t-shirt shopping and playing with my dog Cooper. I have been going to NLC since 2017 and love their approach and thorough knowledge of Chiropractic care. I admired the warmth and kindness I received at every visit and am excited to pass that along as a new member of the team. I'm thrilled to be able to join a wonderful, welcoming God-loving office!”

“I was a licensed massage therapist in North Carolina with a passion for pregnancy massage. After 8 years, I left massage therapy to be a stay-at-home mom. I have 3 daughters (14, 8, and 5). We moved to Salem 2 years ago for my husband's job. All of my children are now school-aged and I'm so excited to get back into work. New Life came at the perfect time for me with the best hours and I'm so blessed to be a part of this team!”
